Songfacts®:

  • Although it sounds like it may have been based on a film in which some poor sap is framed by a femme fatale, in September 2008, Phil Mogg said this uptempo group composition was inspired by a girl he met in Texas, the first one he'd ever met who owned a gun.
  • "Shoot Shoot" was released as a single on Chrysalis in 1975 in both the UK and Germany, backed by "Love Lost Love"; a live version was also recorded for the Strangers In The Night album. This one runs to 4 minutes 7 seconds; the studio version from the 1975 Force It album runs to 3 minutes 40 seconds. >>>
