Album: My Love Is Cool (2013)
Play Video

Songfacts®:

  • This was originally released as Wolf Alice's debut single in February 2013 on the Chess Club label. The band re-recorded it for their My Love Is Cool LP. Vocalist Ellie Rowsell explained to Tonedeaf.com: "When we started to make the album we were really upset 'cause we thought the old recording never sounded very good it didn't do the song justice. So we wanted to re-record it so it's quite nice to go full circle and put the first song we released on the album."
  • The song's music video is comprised of clips of the band during their US tour. Speaking of the visual in an email to Bullett Media, Ellie Rowsell wrote: "Whilst we were in America, our friend Stroma Cairns filmed us on tour. "It's a crazy dream for us to even step foot over here so this footage makes us cry/laugh."

  • Eric In Canada from OntarioThe music video version is fantastic. Love the lyric "what makes you smile just makes me feel funny." Not everyone digs the herb...she starts to worry about finding love and money. Such a real take on driving away boredom with drugs
