Songfacts®:

  • This disco-tinged pop number was written and recorded by Years & Years for the Bridget Jones's Baby soundtrack. "We wanted to make something unashamedly disco and upbeat" said frontman Olly Alexander.
  • Olly Alexander describes here the rush of love he is experiencing as like being hit by a meteorite. Most meteorites are debris left by a comet or asteroid that is orbiting the sun, but some come from the Moon or Mars. Here are some more meteorite fun facts from The Encyclopedia of Trivia:

The Hodges Meteorite crashed through a roof of a home in Sylacauga, Alabama, United States on November 30, 1954. It hit a woman taking an afternoon nap, striking her on the thigh, leaving a huge pineapple-shaped bruise. The event was the only documented case of a human being hit by a rock from space.

On February 15, 2013, a meteorite burst into a fireball 30 times brighter than the sun over central Russia. Shock waves from the explosion of the meteorite over the Chelyabinsk region, injured more than 1,000 people, mainly due to widespread broken glass. It was the largest recorded impact event on Earth since the Siberian Tunguska event in 1908.

The largest individual meteorite ever found is the Hoba meteorite in southwest Africa, which has a mass of about 54,000 kg and mostly consists of iron.

Earth is hit by six tons of meteorites every day.
  • The video sees Olly Alexander clad in an outfit embellished with 86,000 Swarovski crystals. The bespoke costume was created by fashion designer Lara Jensen. "It's an honor to follow in the footsteps of some of my heroes (Britney, Beyoncé etc.) and be decked out in tens of thousands of dazzling crystals!" the frontman said.
