Songfacts®:

  • The lead single from Paper Walls is about Yellowcard frontman Ryan Key's quest to romance a popular celebrity - although he's not naming names. "It's kind of one of those things where her life is just so crazy that no matter whether she's into you or anything or not, it doesn't matter because her career and the things surrounding her life are so, so insane that there's no time for anything else," Key told Denver, Colorado, rock station KTCL. "It's very much the same way that I would write a song when I was in high school, about being in love with this popular girl and I'm not that popular. Saying like, 'Just come be with me, like the normal down-to-earth guy, and I'll kinda save your life.'"
  • This was used on the TV series One Tree Hill in the 2008 episode "4 Years, 6 Months, 2 Days."
