  • For you I was a flame, love is a losing game
Five story fire as you came, love is a losing game
One I wished I never played, oh what a mess we made
And now the final frame, love is a losing game

Played out by the band, love is a losing hand
More than I could stand, love is a losing hand
Self-professed, profound, 'til the tips were down
Know you're a gambling man, love is a losing hand

Though I'm rather blind, love is a fair resign
Memories mar my mind, love it is a fair resign
Over a few tiles, and laughter by the docks
And now the final frame, love is a losing game Writer/s: Amy Winehouse

  • Sarah from Yuba City, Ca...and i thought it sounded haunting before her sad, very untimely death. Joy to the ears and pain to the heart. You are missed, Amy. <3
  • Alexander from London, United KingdomAnd, sadly, her epitaph.
  • Penny from Falls City, Nebeautiful voice
  • Penny from Falls City, NeBeautiful voice, how sad.....
  • Smartalek from Boston, MaI'm deeply embarrassed to admit that I had no idea this song was original to Ms Winehouse (even if it's Ms Winehouse plus... )
It's got that '30s-'40s torch-song vibe down so perfectly, I woulda sworn she was just covering (superbly) an old standard -- one I hadn't heard of before.
It's downright scary how much talent she's got.

(apologies if this double-posts; i tried to submit it b-4, but got a log-in prompt; mod's, pls delete one if both wind up appearing?)
