  • The ash set in then blew away
It's getting lost into the sea
I grew so close to all the thoughts I had, to leave forever
I left the chill and voice, the screams in kids, and ran for shelter

You know I won't say sorry
Do you know I won't say sorry?
The pain has a bad reaction
A blend of fear and passion
Do you know what it's like to believe?
    It makes me wanna scream

I see a glow from far away
A faint reflection on the sea
I left some words quite far from here to be a sure reminder
I laid them out in stone in case they need to last forever

You know I won't say sorry
Do you know I won't say sorry?
The pain has a bad reaction
A blend of fear and passion
Do you know what it's like to believe?
    It makes me wanna scream

I see the stars, they're in your eyes
    A playful kiss kept undecided
I'm fast asleep in the nick of time
You lost your wish, I can't help you find it
I'm on my knees to sworn the start
A fresh new start to be undecided

If love's the word, that you say
You say it, I will listen Writer/s: THOMAS DELONGE

  • Fionn from Newbridge, IrelandIf you listen to this song and play the intro to "No it isn't by +44(Mark and Travis' band, the song is also about the break up of Blink-182)it fits perfectly in as if Mark had heard "Start the Machine"and wrote his own response.Just a thought?
  • Tj from Woodbridge, Vaif you watch this one video, ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mWDxsEyBdCI ) its as if hes writing a song, and then his gf breaks up with him and at first he doesnt want to say sorry and then you see him rip up his lyrics and it say Say sorry (I wont say sorry) and he IM's his friend "i gotta catch her before she leaves" and so he rushes out side.......and just like that shes out of his life.
sounds like something i can relate to
  • Jennifer from Beaver, PaI heard this song performed live on Angels and Airwaves first tour. Right before Tom sings this song he tells the audience this song was written about his former bandmates. "You know I won't say sorry." is his way of telling Mark and Travis that he does not regret his decision to leave the band. "I grew so close to all the thoughts I had to leave forever. I left the chill and voice of screams and "kids" and ran for shelter." Tom, Mark and Travis always had refered to their fans as "kids". Of all the songs on the album, I thought it would be the least likely to be about the breakup of his band, but after what he said it is easy to connect the breakup of the band to this song.
