• Anton from EarthToward the end of the song, on the last repetition of "All of these lines across my face", it sounds like she's scream-singing the lyric so hard her voice breaks. Lends a powerful emotional punch, and becomes, probably, the most gripping part of the song. But heard or read somewhere that it was due to an accidentally or intentionally overloaded amp, or maybe a post recording effect that was pushed into clipping/distortion. At any rate, it was decided to leave it in because, artistically, it was the right thing to do. Conceptually, brings to mind the backup vocal Merry Clayton did on the Rolling Stones song "Gimme Shelter", where her voice actually does break on one of the iterations of the lyric "Rape, murder, it's just a shot away".
