  • Five foot two, eyes of blue,
Oh, what those five feet could do:
    Has anybody seen my gal?

    Turned-up nose, turned-down hose
Flapper? Yes sir, one of those
    Has anybody seen my gal?

Well, if you run into a five-foot-two
    Covered with pearls,
    Diamond rings, all those things,
Bet your life it isn't her

But could she love, could she coo
    Cootchie-cootchie-cootchie coo
    Has anybody seen my gal?

  • Mama Judi from IllinoisI remember hearing this song on the radio when I was young, maybe 10. I imagined that would be me one day-though I outgrew her at 5’4”. My sweet daughter is exactly that and has blue/green eyes like mine. She fits the gal in the song and is a very special frontline ER nurse during this strange Pandemic time…Love you, Jami
  • Fred Gray from VirginiaFrom Wikipedia: Accounts of who originally composed "Has Anybody Seen My Girl?" vary, particularly since the song, especially its lyrics, was often modified. Some sources state that Percy Wenrich wrote the music and Jack Mahoney the lyrics, in 1914. Credit for the most popular version of the song, though, is given to Ray Henderson for the music, and Sam M. Lewis and Joseph Widow Young for the lyrics. It was this version that was recorded by The California Ramblers in 1925.
