  • Lying in bed with the radio on
    Moonlight falls like rain
Soft summer nights spent thinking of you
When will I see you again

Soft and low the music moans
I can't stop thinking 'bout you, thinking 'bout you

I didn't know it would be so strong
    Waiting and wondering about you
I didn't know it would last so long
    Nights are forever without you

The curtains still dance with the wind and the sky
The sun'll be coming up soon
But I just can't sleep for thinking of you
    Here alone with the moon

Soft and low the music moans
I can't stop thinking 'bout you, thinking 'bout you

I didn't know it would be so strong
    Waiting and wondering about you
I didn't know it would last so long
    Nights are forever without you
    Nights are forever without you

    Nights are forever without you
    Nights are forever without you

  • Glory from Chasefumy old sweet memories i daily die for
  • Camille from Toronto, OhThis duo had about a handful of hits in the 70s that really tapped into an emotional chord that so many of us could identify with, and they delivered it with their own unique sound and style. This is a fabulous, passionate song. One reason for it's popularity is that it expresses something that the majority of people have felt at one time: nights can be forever without the one you love by your side. Oh, I'm sorry to learn of Dan Seals passing. "Bop" is another excellent song. I think my favorite ED & JFC song is "I'd Really Love to See You Tonight", but all their hits are great to hear and should be played on the radio more!!!!!
  • Lee from Huntsville, Alto me the song is not so much a break-up song as it is a song about lovers being separated by distance, for whatever reason, and he can't get her off his mind. he is missing her to the extent that he compares himself with another solitary lover...the moon, they both revolve around something bigger than themselves and it is useless to deny it or try to change it.
  • Wayne from Crockett, TxThe great Dan Seals died in March 2009 of lymphoma. He was only 61. RIP England Dan.
  • Brad from Barry, Tx"England" Dan Seals had a #1 Country single, "Bop," released in 1985. It was also a crossover hit, peaking at #42 on the US Hot 100, and at #10 on the US Adult Contemporary Chart.
  • Kevin from Reading , PaA pretty good follow-up single from a duo that seemed initially like they might be one-hit wonders. Turns out they also had hits with "It's Sad to Belong," "We'll Never Have To Say Goodbye Again," and "Love is the Answer," which had a surprisingly tough-minded bridge, where England Dan uncharcateristically got his blood pressure up.
