Even In Death

  • Give me a reason to believe that you're gone
I see your shadow so I know they're all wrong
Moonlight on the soft brown earth
It leads me to where you lay
They took you away from me but now I'm taking you home

    [Chorus]
I will stay forever here with you
    My love
The softly spoken words you gave me
Even in death our love goes on

Some say I'm crazy for my love, oh my love
But no bonds can hold me from your side, oh my love
They don't know you can't leave me
They don't hear you singing to me

    [Chorus]

And I can't love you, anymore than I do Writer/s: AMY LEE, BEN MOODY, DAVID HODGES

  • GaryGreat song, Amy's so talented. The demo is solid but I love her re-recording of it for Lost Whispers even more
  • Ward from El Paso, TxThis is absolutely one of the most beautiful songs I have ever heard. The arrangement, the strings, the piano, and (without question) one of the most talented and powerful female vocals! This is art, in it's purest form. I sincerely wish Amy Lee would create and magically perform more songs like this. This song, Lithium, My Immortal, and almost all of the Synthesis album, clearly shows an extremely dynamic voice and instrumental expertise - her talent is unmatched!!! God I love this music!
  • Villy from Detroit, MiActually, it isn't based on The Crow, it's just about a love strong enough that you'd want to bring them back from the dead. It does, however, use a clip from The Crow movie.
  • Caitlin from Colmesneil, TxReminds me of the book "Steve and Me" by Terri Irwin. She actually said she still feels close to Steve, even though he's been gone for years. Sad, but romantic.
  • Samantha from Dover, Nhthis song is one of the saddest ones I have ever heard, with both the strong lyrics and the beautiful tune. it's amazing how powerful it is even to me when I have never lost anyone like this
  • Sarah from Boston, Mai think this doesnt exactly have to be a coupl it coul also be for family members but evanescence songs are meant to be interpreted by the listener as they like
  • Michelle from Titusville, FlThis is my favorite Evanescence song, besides My Immortal. It's so beautiful, how somebody can love someone else so much, and death can't even separate them.
  • Cassandra from Houston, TxMy fave song as well.cant get enuff
  • Cassandra from Houston, TxI knew exactly what the song meant.it hits home..I listen to it back to back
  • Stacey from Vic, AustraliaThis is without a doubt my favourite Evanescence song. The lyrics are amazing as well as Amy Lee's vocals
