  • Used to be so easy to give my heart away.
But I found out the hard way,
There''s a price you have to pay.
I found out that love was no friend of mine.
I should have known time after time.

So long, it was so long ago,
But I've still got the blues for you.

Used to be so easy to fall in love again.
But I found out the hard way,
It''s a road that leads to pain.
I found that love was more than just a game.
You're playin'' to win, but you lose just the same.

So long, it was so long ago,
But I've still got the blues for you.

So many years since I've seen your face.
Here in my heart, there''s an empty space
    Where you used to be.

So long, it was so long ago,
But I've still got the blues for you.

Though the days come and go,
There is one thing I know.
I''ve still got the blues for you. Lyrics licensed and provided by LyricFind

  • T. Thompson from Atlanta, Ga.I hate to be a doubt fire but after hearing this for the first time today I was shocked how it is a blatant rip off of "Queen of Hearts" by Gregg Allman.
  • Dave from Victoria Bc. Canada As a cancer survivor when I need pickup I play this song, cheers me right up!
  • Rudy from Kowloon, Hong KongTonite, i started to feel sad about Gary's dead. I remember that i'd been loving (unrequited love) with a girl in 1989, who is a cosmetic sales girl. How can i told her i love her, i can only listen to that song.....Still got the blues (for You)....................What a sweet memory of unrequited love..thanks Gary............Rudy
  • Dave from Melbourne, AustraliaA truly beautiful blues ballad. I love the way the song ends on the full version with the wailing guitar ...
  • Budoshi from Sandnessjøen, NorwayHas "Still got the Blues for you" been covered by others?
  • Carole from Sacramento, CaHe is highly underrated ! One of the best guitarists around and he is hardly spoken of.
  • Ani from Yerevan, ArmeniaDue to the album "Still got the blues" Gary Moore became known in the USA, where he hadn't been noticed before. In one of the interviews for "Guitar Player", he said: "It's strange, because I made it as a musical entr'acte. But as it was accepted so well, I must now take it [playing blues] into consideration seriously". (It is NOT word by word, I just remember approximately)Before "Still got the blues", he mostly used to play heavy metal. People crticize him much, but however, Gary Moore is one of my most favourite musicians; "Wild frontier", "After the war", "Still got the blues", "After hours", "Blues for greeny", "A different beat" and others are my favourite albums:)
  • Bob from Southfield, MiGary teamed up with Jack Bruce and Ginger Baker in the early 90s and put out a Cream-sound-alike album called BBM.
  • Lester from New York City, NyThis boy is a SERIOUS Guitar Player.
