  • You warned me that you were gonna leave (leave)
Never thought you would really go (go)
I was blind but baby now I see (see)
Broke your heart but now I know (now I know)

That I was being such a fool (ooh)
And I didn't deserve you (ooh)

    I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I don't know if I'll get up
    And I don't wanna cause a scene
But I'm dyin' without your love
    Begging to hear your voice
Tell me you love me too
'Cause I'd rather just be alone
If I know that I can't have you

Looking at the letter you that you left
(The letter that you left, will I ever get you back?)
Wondering if I'll ever get you back
Dreaming about when I'll see you next
(When will I see you next? Will I ever get you back?)
Knowing that I never will forget
    (I won't forget, I won't forget)

That I was being such a fool (ooh)
Now I still don't deserve you (ooh)

    I don't wanna fall asleep
'Cause I don't know if I'll get up
    And I don't wanna cause a scene
'Cause I'm dyin' without your love, yeah
    Begging to hear your voice
Tell me you love me too
'Cause I'd rather just be alone
If I know that I can't have you

So tell me what we're fighting for
'Cause you know that truth means so much more
'Cause you would if you could, don't lie (don't lie)
'Cause I give everything that I've got left
To show you I mean what I have said
    I know I was such a fool
But I can't live without you (without you)

    I don't wanna fall asleep
Don't know if I'll get up
    I don't wanna cause a scene
But I'm dyin' without your love
    Begging to hear your voice
Tell me you love me too
'Cause I'd rather just be alone
If I know that I can't have you

    Yeah

Don't wanna fall asleep (don't wanna fall asleep)
'Cause I don't know if I'll get up (who knows if I get up)
    I don't wanna cause a scene
'Cause I'm dyin' without your love
    Yeah
Begging to hear your voice (let me hear your voice)
Tell me you love me too (tell me you love me too)
'Cause I'd rather just be alone

They’re probably thinking of “The Invasion” with Daniel Craig and Nicole Kidman

But it was actually Inception with Leonardo DiCaprio about falling asleep to dream in connection with others and seeing a projection of his wife and possibly ending up in limbo with her again. The lyrics “I don’t wanna fall asleep, I don’t know if I’ll get up” is how he’s afraid he’ll be stuck in the dream instead of reality. “And I don’t wanna cause a scene, but I’m dying without your love” this part, I believe, is about when they have a plan to put an idea into someone else’s mind, and his memories with her causes projections that will disturb the plan (like a train in the middle of a city). “I’m begging to hear your voice, and tell me you love me too” this is because she had passed away, and the only way he can see her is when he dreams. There’s plenty of other references throughout the song but these are the main ones. Rewatch the movie if you haven’t seen it in a while (or at all) and then listen to the song afterwards.

It would make sense how the titles of these movies would be confused though!
  • Elliott from Franklin, TnNormally I can't stand the Jonas Brothers but I have to admit I kinda like this song.
  • Marama from Christchurch, New ZealandInspired by a Daniel Craig and... Nicole Kidman(?) movie which I cannot recall the name of.
  • Emily from Winfield, KsBest song EVER IN THE HISTORY OF THE UNIVERSE! Well actually, its Love is on it's Way, by the Jonas Brothers but this is a super close second
  • Rosalie from New York, NyThis song is about the Jonas brothers' past girlfriends.
