  • I cannot ever find a way
To throw these darkened thoughts away
    Need a place to hide
It's thrown in my face every day
Guess that's the price I have to pay
    For what's inside my mind

    Alive, alive
    Alive, alive
    Alive, alive
    Alive, alive

    I am alive
    I will never run away
    Places inside
My heart screams inside with pride
    Once I cried
Now I wipe away the tears
    Once I died
    Now I'm alive

    Alive, alive
    Alive, alive
    Alive, alive
    Alive, alive

Little things tick me every day
Constant pain is how I like to play
    Better not cross that line
Voices in my head happened to say
    It's something I can't throw away
    What's inside my mind

    I am alive
    I will never run away
    Places inside
My heart screams inside with pride
    Once I cried
Now I wipe away the tears
    Once I died
    Now I'm alive

I bide my time, I'm intertwined
I'm falling in this place I thought I left behind
I bide my time, I'm intertwined
I'm falling in this place I thought I left behind

(Feeling) I bide my time, I'm intertwined
(So alone) I'm falling in this place I thought I left behind
(Feeling) I bide my time, I'm intertwined
(So alone) I'm falling in this place I thought I left behind

    Alive, alive
    Alive, alive

    I am alive
    I will never run away
    Places inside
My heart screams inside with pride
    Once I cried
Now I wipe away the tears
    Once I died
Now I'm alive Writer/s: Brian Welch, David Randall Silveria, James Christian Shaffer, Jonathan Howsman Davis, Reginald Arvizu

  • Luna Loud from Royal Woods, MichiganIt's more like the chorus riff/drumbeat that were used in "Need To" rather than the melody (usually used to refer to the vocal melody). The vocal melody to "Need To" is similar, but not quite the same.
  • Zero from Nowhere, NjNo, Nathan, pretty sure it's Jon saying/growling "Alive", and I think Head does the background vocals during the chorus.
  • Nathan Ritz from Marengo , InJoey, its not just a weird noise, hes saying alive, and no its the lead guitarist
  • Joey from Cincinnati, Ohis it Jon that is making that weird noise before the chorus in this song??
  • Billy Ross from Hagerstown, MdI love the slap bass intro in this song
  • Kassandra from Long Island A.k.a Wrong Island, Nyi love this song... but i love every korn song ive been a korn fan since i was like 5 (im a korn kid lol) lol ive been a fan for 10 years oh and kurt.... i think you might be right
  • Jimmy from Modesto, CaReally good song by one of my favorite band, Korn.
  • Kurt from Unity, MeNot certain on this but i think that Jon is suggesting that he survived his troubled childhood and, even though hes traumatized he will live.
