  • Thumbing through the pages of my fantasies
Pushing all the mercy down, down, down
I wanna see you try to take a swing at me
Come on, gonna put you on the ground, ground, ground

Why are you trying to make fun of me?
You think it's funny? What the fuck you think it's doing to me?
You take your turn lashing out at me
I want you crying with your dirty ass in front of me

All of my hate cannot be bound (hate cannot be bound)
I will not be drowned (I will not be drowned)
    By your thoughtless scheming
So you can try to tear me down (try to tear me down)
Beat me to the ground (beat me to the ground)
    I will see you screaming

Thumbing through the pages of my fantasies
I'm above you, smiling at you, drown, drown, drown
I wanna kill and rape you the way you raped me
And I'll pull the trigger, and you're down, down, down

Why are you trying to make fun of me?
You think it's funny? What the fuck you think it's doing to me?
You take your turn lashing out at me
I want you crying with your dirty ass in front of me

All of my hate cannot be bound (hate cannot be bound)
I will not be drowned (I will not be drowned)
    By your thoughtless scheming
So you can try to tear me down (try to tear me down)
Beat me to the ground (beat me to the ground)
    I will see you screaming

    All my friends
Are gone, they died (gonna take you down)
    They all screamed
And cried (gonna take you down)

    Gonna take you down
    Gonna take you down
    Gonna take you down

All of my hate cannot be bound (hate cannot be bound)
I will not be drowned (I will not be drowned)
    By your thoughtless scheming
So you can try to tear me down (try to tear me down)
Beat me to the ground (beat me to the ground)
    I will see you screaming

All of my hate cannot be bound (hate cannot be bound)
I will not be drowned (I will not be drowned)
    By your thoughtless scheming
So you can try to tear me down (try to tear me down)
Beat me to the ground (beat me to the ground)

  • Kimjobg from Oh, FlI can relate to this. I was in a abusive relationship sexually abused and bullied in school but I never gave up and this song helped since it made me know I wasn't the only one.
  • Zero from Nowhere, NjWhen I saw them play this on the Pop Sux tour back in '02 they sang this song and Jon just scatted the lyrics in the middle.
  • Francesca from Bath, United KingdomI love this song, and I deliberately rant and rave and push out all my anger and pain through several different creative outlets. I don't want to end up some psycho killer because of the s--t I take every single f--king day. I thought it would stop when I left school but no, i've ended up in a crap job (atleast the company i work for is good bit it's little consolation). I take s--t every day fomr mindless pathetic f--ks who think i'm below them coz i'm just a f--king checkout monkey. Thoughtless and Right Now go through my head on a loop. Sometimes it makes me smile as i daydream about yanking someone's leg out of their socket and beating everyone in the head untill i'm surrounded by corpses.. Am I twisted for thinking that or is it normal?
  • Lilly from East Meadow, NyI love listening to both versions of this song whenever someone picks on me! It's not that i'm planning anything, but it brings me comfort in knowing I'm not alone.
It's kind of funny about that law suit thing; i bought my copy of Anywhere But Home from FYE, not Walmart, and it doesn't have a parental advisory sticker either! What an idiotic parent; the kid's going to hear the word throughout her lifetime, and as long as you teach the kid right from wrong, she won't be a potty mouth!
  • Charlena from Garland, TxThis is about the Columbine shootings in America.
But what I can't believe is no one saw the TRUE message it was sending all the teens all over the world who were watching this tragedy unfold and getting very bad thoughts in their heads about how they should handle their situations. Press and Media were showing on every channel on tv for weeks about the details of the case. very bad idea.
So Korn takes this opportunity, along with their already huge influence on this same generation of broken kids...and shows them there ARE other ways to handle things and they made a POWERFUL TIMELY video showing them that yes, we understand and share their angst. But why not just walk in with a fine ass hooker on your arm then puke all over their stupid asses instead...while of course getting relief through the music and identification of our family...Children of the Korn. Alot less blood and nobody goes to jail or dies.
    But yet parents hate them....fools.
  • Ian from Chilli, OhThe opening riff of this song can be heard very briefly at the end of I-E-A-I-A-I-O by System of a Down
  • Josh from Meridain, MsI heard the one Evanescence did and I thank she did really good. Amy and Jon rock, I thank they could've made an album together maybe coming up with some new stuff. But the song is right you snapp after taking all that bull from people.
  • Caitlin from Colmesneil, TxI love the Evanescence version of this song. Amy Lee's voice is great for this song.
Whenever I hear it, I think of abuse, of someone who's just gotten out of an abusive relationship and who wants their abuser to pay for what they did. It could also be about a woman who was sexually assaulted and wishes revenge on her attacker ('wanna kill and rape you the way you raped me').
  • Brooke from Des Moines, IaThis song made me cry when I figured out what it was about.

I was about to kill everyone once. So... it's pretty meaningful to me.
  • Mack from Toronto, OnThis song gets me through every miserable, pathetic (non-nice) day of my life.
    You Keep me going JD!
  • Nefpl from Posen, PolandI Think JD Sing "I never got it, never got it, never got it all".
  • Taylor from Pueblo, CoThis is a great song. It totally explains what I would like to do to those people who tick me off!
  • Dave from Peterborough, CanadaI think this song is about Jon's personal experiences with being bullied, I also like Jeff from Englands take on the line "I will see you screaming."
  • Tara from Somewhere, FlTo Me:this song reminds me of the anger that's built inside of me, which turns into pain and guilt to everyone who doesn't believe in me and makes fun of me [and too many people do...] and i don't know what i did in the first place. and "All my friends are gone. They all died." i lost my friends once, and i never regained them [exept one] and i never saw them again and it seems they dropped off the face of the Earth.
  • Kevin from Independence, Moif it was about Columbine i think it would have been put on at least one of the like 3 CDS that they came out with since then.
  • Halla from EgilssatðirI LOVE YOU
  • Prophet from East Haven, Vti remember growing up listening to Korn. it all started with "Blind", but i will not argue that "Thoughtless" is the superior. and he does not say i've got my back against the wall, he says "Never gonna forget never froget i can get no more."
  • Jake from Houston, TxYes, it is the line "I've got my body got my body back against the wa-a-al".

    Charlie, you just contradicted yourself.
  • Adrian from Oxnard, Cathe song does say "i got my body i got my body back against the wall" i didnt believe it when i first heard it but es it is true it does say that
  • Rachel from Raleigh, NcThis is the first song I ever heard from them and it is my favorite. My brther showed me the vid for it and I loved it ever sence then and i will always love it! I will kill you all that teased me pushed me and beat me!!!!!! Whatch out for me!!!!!!
  • Danielle from Northumberlandhas the vid for this been banned? never see it on music channels anymore...
  • Jen from Melbourne, FlThis was the first song I've ever heard by KoRn. My friend showed me the vid. It was so awesome!!! I love you Jon!
  • Ian from New York, NyI thought he was saying "jam the monkey, jam the monkey, jam their is no other!" but thats just me.
  • Stan from Huntington, UtThe Growling noises aren't growling noises, he's aying somthign like "never forget" of somthing along those lines, it is pretty hard to tell though.
  • Chris from Manassas, VaI am pretty sure what you think is "I got my boby against the wall" is just his growling animal noises, like twist....Cos it is in every CD except for issues....well, the song ball tongue was like the beginning of it.
  • Eric from Nashville, Tnwhenever i see the music vid, i think of the vomit at the end as bullets.
  • Josh from El Paso, TxI agree w/the fact that the song is about a person who was treated so bad that he/she finally snaps and gets even. People don't know how to treat others and I thank Jonathan Davis for the song. Dont forget the Golden Rule or I'll be coming for u next!!!!!
  • Chris from Aurora, Ilthis is a referance to school shootings and some of their causes in general. I belive that he did intend for people to think about some of the different school shootings and rethink the motives of the shooters. He is not trying to justify their actions, but just to explain the idealogy behind the attack.
  • Jeff from Sheppey, EnglandI'd just like to say he say i personaly thing the song is about Jon himself, he was bullied during he's school years but not he is rich and famous and the people who once bullied him might now be his fans "I will see you screaming" screaming fans, Its about no matter what happens you are stronger then they are and you will win.
  • Jade from San Antonio, TxEither way, It's an awesome song.
  • Charlie from Somewhere, CaNo this is not about the columbine...its about kids who get picked on and eventually go insane and kill everyone. It's saying that when people make fun of someone, they are thoughtless and end up ruining that person to a point of insanity...much like the Thurston High killer. They will have the last laugh and kill everyone. Crazy...
  • Jeffq from Nekoosa, WiThis is based on Emily Bronte's classic book of the same name. The song pretty much tells the same story as the book, only squeakier
  • Daffy from Upminster, EnglandI agree. 'Snapping' as you said is a thoughtless action caused by provocation, hense the songs title 'thoughtless'. I have seen two vidoe's for this and one of them shows this kid being picked on. The parts where you see the band could be the voices inside his head (room = brain) which some killers have been known to have. Disturbed wrote a song based on psycho killers with voices which was called voices.
  • Allison from Somewhere, NjYeah, Reggie's right. If you've seen the video, you'll agree.
  • Reggie from Seven Kings, Chinathat is completely wrong, you know nothing im sorry to say. but this is about the Columbine shootings in America through the eyes of the killers. they're saying that even though they get picked on by the jocks they will have the last laugh coz they end up killin everyone. "so you can try to tear me down, beat me to the ground, I will see you screaming" they r sayin how they just snapped and killed everyone. and Jon Davis even said-"its a song about ppl who r constantly ridiculed and the damage it can cause" thank-you.
