  • It's winter-fall
    Read skies are gleaming, oh
    Sea-gulls are flyin' over
    Swans are floatin' by
    Smoking chimney-tops
    Am I dreaming?
    Am I dreaming?

    The nights draw in
There's a silky moon up in the sky, yeah
    Children are fantasizing
    Grown-ups are standin' by
    What a super feeling
    Am I dreaming?
    Am I dreaming?
    Woh-woh-woh-woh

    (Dreaming) So quiet and peaceful
    (Dreaming) Tranquil and blissful
(Dreaming) There's a kind of magic in the air
(Dreaming) What a truly magnificent view
    (Dreaming) A breathtaking scene
(With the dreams of the world
In the palm of your hand)

    (Dreaming) A cozy fireside chat
(Dreaming) A little this, a little that
(Dreaming) Sound of merry laughter skippin' by
(Dreaming) Gentle rain beatin' on my face
    (Dreaming) What an extraordinary place!
(And the dream of the child
Is the hope of the, hope of the man)

    It's all so beautiful
Like a landscape painting in the sky, yeah
    Mountains are zoomin' higher, uh
    Little girls scream an' cry
My world is spinnin', and spinnin', and spinnin'
    It's unbelievable
    Sends me reeling
    Am I dreaming?
    Am I dreaming?

Oooh, it's bliss Writer/s: Brian May, Freddie Mercury, John Deacon, Roger Taylor

  • Richard from Tennessee Mountains And LakesHeartbreaking and Absolutely Beautiful.
Freddie's voice still so powerful in the last year of his life.
  • Ben Salerno from Staten IslandFreddie Mercury the first time I heard him I was 12 I knew immediately I had to follow Queen and 50 yrs later he’s immortal! No one will ever be as good in concert or studio! Of course along with John Roger and Brian they absolutely are one of a kind! This his last song is so emotional and beautiful. Freddie Forever! Now my kids and grandkids are big fans!!
  • Peter from GermanyIt do not believe that the song was recorded two weeks before his death. I think that it was recorded in January or February 1991 because the song is about winter.
I believe that Freddie was too weak to record a song two weeks before his passing.
  • Michele Kurlander from ChicagoBoth Jim Hutton and Peter Freestone report that Fredfie made his last visit to Montreux just weeks before he died and Jim reported he wrote this song while looking out from the window of the condo he purchased on quai des fleurs not far down from the Studio- the place he and Jim were still decorating during that last trip- not from the Duck House past the town the other direction Freestone says that when he discovered he was losing his eyesight while there that s when he gave up on meds.

If they are both right, he had to have recorded it in October or November just after returning to London where he died.
  • Daniel from BecclesIt's a truly great song, and was recorded some time in 1991, but it certainly wasn't 2 weeks before his untimely passing, it is widely known that the last vocals that Freddie ever recorded were on the song mother love, which was in may 1991, he was so ill by this point that he never returned to finish it, hence why Brian may sang the final verse.
  • Nina from UsaI can’t hear this song without crying. Just 2 weeks before he moved on he knew time was short. Yet the world gave him joy. In one take! It’s a gorgeous song from a dying man who really loved his life and his audience. Miss you Freddie.
  • Mary from ArizonaThis song reaches deep into my soul. Freddie's voice is so strong and passionate, despite the fact that he was so ill at this time. What an amazing and brave man he was. RIP Freddie. You are still missed decades after you left us.
  • Paul from Rothesay, Nb, NbWhat a magical vocal by Freddie, and such imagery. Knowing that this was one of his last recordings makes all the more poignant.
