  • If i was to walk till time saw no end.
If i was to climb till the air was too thin.
I could not find a picture fit the frame.
    As perfect as you.
    As perfect as you.

You showed me life and lived nothing less.
    'cause yer so above me.
Ill take my time you memory is bliss.
    The angel above me.

When i look at the stars they shine of your eyes.
The sky it burns bright with your presence tonight.
Yet your so above me and i cannot fly.
To the angel above me i long to be with.

To look at the mountains vast and great.
Is one step above in seeing your face.
To look at the stars for they lead the way.
To the angel above. Lyrics licensed and provided by LyricFind

  • Jose from Miami, Flyeah great coment the one above me i agree with everything they say its a great song.
  • Kal from Fredericton, CanadaI agree with everything that is written above, although that the person is now dead. I think the song was written about one of the bandmates friends, perhaps that they loved very much. Just the title "Above Me" suggests the state of the person it is written about, that they are now in heaven ("But you're so above me and I cannot fly") and he/she wants to be with them but doesn't think killing him or herself would be what the person wanted. "You showed me life and lived nothing less/Cause you're so above me/I'll take my time your memory is bliss/The angel above me" I think decribes a person that has died. This song is praising the life they lived and not regretting their death. It uses many allusions to nature ("The sky it burns bright with you presence tonight", and "To look at the mountains vast and great/Is one step above in seeing your face") to decribes the persin beauty, not only physically but emotionally. This person was perfect in the eyes of the writer of this song. I think all the writer wants is to be with this character and finally get to show them his/her love.
