  • Anytime I need to see your face
    I just close my eyes
And I am taken to a place
Where your crystal mind and magenta feelings
Take up shelter in the base of my spine
    Sweet like a chic-a-cherry cola
I don't need to try to explain
    I just hold on tight
    And if it happens again
    I may move so slightly
To the arms and the lips and the face
    Of the human cannonball that
I need to, I want to

Come stand a little bit closer
Breathe in and get a bit higher
You'll never know what hit you
    When I get to you

Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out
Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out (ooh, I, ooh, I)

I'm the kind of person who endorses a deep commitment
Getting comfy getting perfect is what I live for
But a look and then a smell of perfume
It's like I'm down on the floor
And I don't know what I'm in for
Conversation has a time and place in the interaction
Of a lover and a mate but the time of talking
Using symbols, using words can be likened
To a deep sea diver who is swimming with a raincoat

Come stand a little bit closer
Breathe in and get a bit higher
You'll never know what hit you
    When I get to you

Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out
Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out (ooh, I, ooh, I)

    (Ooh) yeah, yeah
    (Ooh) yeah, yeah

Anytime I need to see your face
    I just close my eyes
And I am taken to a place
Where your crystal mind and magenta feelings
Take up shelter in the base of my spine
    Sweet like a chic-a-cherry cola
I don't need to try to explain
    I just hold on tight
    And if it happens again
    I may move so slightly
To the arms and the lips and the face
    Of the human cannonball that
I need to, I want to

Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out
Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out (ooh, I, ooh, I)
    (So can we find out?)

Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out
Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out (ooh, I, ooh, I)

Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but
Ooh, I'd die to find out (I'd die to find out)
Ooh, I want you, I don't know if I need you but (gonna kill me by now)
Ooh, I'd die to find out (ooh, I, ooh, I) Writer/s: Daniel Jones, Darren Hayes

  • Wes from WyomingOkay, this is driving me crazy, I can find no one who can tell me what the red head says in the music video. Can anyone tell me what she is saying?
  • Annabelle from Eugene, OrRobin from Milford, NJ and Ashley from Henderson, KY so I wonder why the songfacts site lists the lyric as "drink of cherry cola"? Are they playin' games with our minds? By the way, I have the CD as well. Savage Garden are a couple of cool guys!
  • Roberto from Matamoros, MéxicoThis song sounds a lot like Reunion's "Life Is A Rock (But The Radio Rolled Me)".
  • Robin from Milford, NjIt's "chica cherry cola," and Darren knew EXACTLY what he was talking about!
  • Ashley from Henderson, KyAnnabelle, I have the CD and it is chica cherry cola! That's the beauty of being a songwriter!! You get to invent lyrics and catch phrases that no one will ever forget. I remember many years ago talking to cousin about this song and that very same three little words that everyone debates about all these years was exactly what he said. Anytime I hear that song when I'm with people they always talk about too! Apparently Darren Hayes knew what he was doing after all!!
  • Annabelle from Eugene, OrDrink of cherry cola? When I hear it, it always sounds like chica cherry cola. Even some lyric sites list it as chica cherry cola. I wonder what Darren Hayes says about that? And how about Daniel Jones?
  • Andrew from Arlington, Ohgreat song (Brooke Skye makes it better)
