  • Ah, ah, you've been good to me
You made me glad when I was blue
And eternally I'll always be in love with you
And all I gotta do is thank you girl
    Thank you girl

    I could tell the world
A thing or two about our love
I know little girl only a fool would doubt our love
And all I gotta do is thank you girl
    Thank you girl

Thank you girl for loving me
The way that you do (way that you do)
That's the kind of love that is too good to be true
And all I gotta do is thank you girl
    Thank you girl

Ah, ah, you've been good to me
You made me glad when I was blue
And eternally I'll always be in love with you
And all I gotta do is thank you girl
    Thank you girl

  • Jeff from Lumberton, New JerseyOne of my early Beatles favorites, with If I Fell, I Should've Known Better, I’ll Be Back, and I’ll Cry Instead
  • Jennifur Sun from RamonaOne of my favs of theirs. Love Ringo's drumming for some reason on this tune. Their 2nd Lp is the only one I have left, my all time fav.
  • Roy from Slough, United KingdomThe opening OW OW OW lines throughout the disc are pure Buddy Holly.
  • Steve Dotstar from Los Angeles, Cacute litte record....enjoyable.....
  • Marcus from Columbus, OhThere were two verisons of "Thank You Girl" and there was one single verison & the different verison from The Beatles' Second Album & that verison was one of my personal favorite songs from there early collection. The 2nd Album verison was used in The Beatles' Cartoon Series where in the "Sing-A-Long" Ringo plays a patient in a hospital & Paul McCartney protrays the doctor who takes drum sticks out of Ringo with the help of good looking nurses. In the cartoon story, The Beatles are in Paris learning how to cook a meal has a good time making there work in the progress. I'm an old man, but to me, The Beatles always rule. There bigger than US Steel.

  • Ian from Lethbridge, CanadaBen, I hope you don't consider yourself to be a Beatles fan, because you seem to hate most of their songs.
  • Tom Mccafferty from Burnaby, CanadaI actually don't like where they put the song on the Second Album. It appeared on side A
    on the vinyl like this:
    Roll over Beethoven
    Thank You Girl
You've Really Got a Hold on Me
    Devil in Her Heart.

On the cassette it was placed on the B side like this:
    I'll Get You
    She Loves You
    Thank You Girl.

So I burn it on CD-R like that.
  • Tom Mccafferty from Burnaby, CanadaI hope the single version gets REMASTERED.

"Thank You Girl," is better than Paul's, "Silly Love Songs," or "This Girl is Mine."
  • Jo-c from Lima, PeruI'd say Lennon's best harmonica work is Love Me Do ... I love this song though
  • Steve from Fenton, MoI think this song has a great melody.
  • Amanda from New York City, NyI just can't bring myself to like this song. However, the live version at LIVE AT THE BBC is MUCH better, in my opinion, than the version on PAST MASTERS, VOL. 1.
  • Charlie from Cape Girardeau, MoThis may have been Lennon's best harmonica work.
  • Calum from Edinburgh, ScotlandThere's a good, quite rocky, version of this on The Beatles Live at the BBC double album. It goes from Some Other Guy into Thank You Girl.
  • Ben from Cheverly, MdI never liked it, never will.
  • Jade from Chippewa Falls, Wi This is not about the girls who sent them fan mail. Why would the lyrics say, 'And eternally I'll always be in love with you.' and 'I could tell the world a thing or two about our love'. How could this be about the girls that sent them fan mail except if it is the girls that are writing the phrases aforesaid. In my opinion it is just a silly song that was made up.
  • Dyno from Derry, NhI am so glad they released a set of early Capitol albums on CD. Those are how I remember the song line-ups on the early albums. Thank You Girl was one of my faves from "Beatles' Second Album".
