  • Spanish songs in Andalucía
The shooting sites in the days of '39
Oh, please, leave the vendanna open
Federico Lorca is dead and gone
Bullet holes in the cemetery walls
The black cars of the Guardia Civil
Spanish bombs on the Costa Rica
    I'm flying in a DC 10 tonight

Spanish bombs, yo te quiero infinito
Yo te quiero, oh mi corazón
Spanish bombs, yo te quiero infinito
Yo te quiero, oh mi corazón

Spanish weeks in my disco casino
The freedom fighters died upon the hill
    They sang the red flag
    They wore the black one
But after they died it was Mockingbird Hill
Back home the buses went up in flashes
The Irish tomb was drenched in blood
    Spanish bombs shatter the hotels
My senorita's rose was nipped in the bud

Spanish bombs, yo te quiero infinito
Yo te quiero, oh mi corazón
Spanish bombs, yo te quiero infinito
Yo te quiero, oh mi corazón

The hillsides ring with "Free the people"
Or can I hear the echo from the days of '39?
    With trenches full of poets
The ragged army, fixin' bayonets to fight the other line
    Spanish bombs rock the province
I'm hearing music from another time
Spanish bombs on the Costa Brava
I'm flying in on a DC 10 tonight

Spanish bombs, yo te quiero infinito
Yo te quiero, oh mi corazón
Spanish bombs, yo te quiero infinito
Yo te quiero, oh mi corazón
Oh mi corazón, oh mi corazón

Spanish songs in Andalucía, Mandolina, oh mi corazón

  • Chris from Santa CruzThe pronunciation of the Spanish lyrics is terrible, but the grammar and meaning are correct and clear. The means is "I love you deeply, I love you, oh my dear.!" It should be written "Yo te quiero infinito, yo te quiero, o mi corazón." Although corazón literally means the heart, here it is a term of endearment like "dear heart."
  • Eric from HarrisburgMelodee Fernandez sang a Spanish version of the song. At times it is almost spoken word. You can find it online.
  • Javier from MadridThe literal traduction from "yo te quiero infinito. Yo te quiero, oh mi corazón" actually is "I infinitely love you. I love you, oh my heart". I'm Spanish so trust me.
  • Natalie from CaliforniaThe Spanish sounding gibberish is incorrect spelling in Spanish. He spelled them as yo t'quierro y nfinito. Yo t'quierro, o mi corazon. The correct spelling is yo te quiero infinito. Yo te acuerda, o mi corazon. The lyrics mean I love you to infinity. I remember you. Oh my heart.
  • Isabel from Ny... the Spanish sounding "gibberish" as you say is actual Spanish and it translates to - I will love you forever. I will love you. Oh my heart.
  • Felix from Guildford, United KingdomWhile the Spanish lyrics are inaccurate, 'yo te quiero' means 'I want you,' and 'O mi corrazón' means 'O my heart'.
  • Ben from Gosford, AustraliaFirst time I heard this song was in 1990. I was only 5 at the time, but I loved it, even though I had no idea what the song was about.
