Songfacts®:

  • To "go down" is a sexually explicit reference that needs no elaboration here. This song was apparently inspired by a well known groupie called "Ruby Lips" who Bon Scott knew of, and very likely "knew" in the Biblical sense too.
  • This Young/Young and Scott composition runs to 5 minutes 20 seconds, although the CD version is slightly longer at 5 minutes 33 seconds. >>>

  • Michael J from Needles, CaI agree with Don. Simply the best of the Bon Scott era releases.Since I first listened to this album in the late 70's,I have never grown tired of hearing this one all the way through. From the first riffs of Go Down, to the last chords of Whole Lotta Rosie. Pure Brilliance......If you haven't listened to this in a while, do yourself a favor. Give it a whirl, bet it cracks a real big smile!!!
  • Don from San Antonio, TxThis is my fave and I think most overlooked AC/DC album! All the songs sound like they go together, and I don't mean that in a "AC/DC only knows one song" kinda way.
