The reggaetón star's album Un Verano Sin spent 13 non-consecutive weeks atop the Billboard 200, and Spotify named him the most-streamed artist on the platform worldwide for the third year in a row. Also, his World's Hottest Tour became the highest-grossing tour by a Latin artist in history. Bunny celebrated his successful year by dropping this standalone single as a gift for his fans on December 22, 2022.
• Though released three days before Christmas, "Gato de Noche" is no festive ditty. Rather, Bad Bunny lives up to his name by portraying himself as the secret lover of a girl who's already taken. She spends her days with her official love, but late at night Bunny sneaks into her home for some naughtiness. The title translates into English as "cat of the night."
