Songfacts®:

  • Another song co-written with good friend and keyboard player Thomas Lee, Bice feels this is a good representation of "Bo Bice rock." If you take Bice's style and divvy it up into threes, you'll get the "rocking, in-your-face" style, the "swampy" style, and this one, which is right-down-the-middle.
According to Bice, Lee brought him the song, and "I dug certain things about the song, and I just wanted to take it and make it more mine. So I took it and he gave me permission to change and kind of make it fit me more. It is one of my favorites, too. This whole CD really capitalizes on everything. The only thing I really felt like I should have gotten more into was kind of my Jim Croce side, and singer/songwriter side. But I mean, I've got a lot more CDs to come. That's what cool. You can reinvent yourself and do different aspects." (Read more in our interview with Bo Bice.)
