Songfacts®:

  • This song is about a woman who has a one night stand with a man while her boyfriend is away. The two of them fall in love in the process and realize that they were really meant to be together. The song is told from the perspective of the man she is cheating with.
  • Lost Without Your Love was sort of a reunion album for Bread. After they originally disbanded in 1973, the members did solo projects and session work until Elektra, Bread's record label, told them that there was still a demand for them. After they reunited in 1976, released this album the following year and did a tour to support the album, Bread disbanded permanently. >>>
