  • America was polarized when Bruce Sudano released this song in 2020 - an election year. Politically, there seemed to be no middle ground, which played out as the election unfolded.

"'For the Sake Of Humanity' I believe is a song for this moment," he told Songfacts. "A call for people from the extremes to come together back into the middle where most of us live. To compromise and create a way to move things forward. It's not a new story. We need progress, not a return to the past. It's a message that we the people in unity hold the power to bring governmental reform and regulation causing it to work for us as it was intended."
  • Sudano included this on his Spirals, Vol 2 - The Time and Space in Between album, which came at a productive time for him. Many of the tracks on his Spirals albums reflect his concern for what we've become as a society.

Sudano was extremely prolific in the '70s with his groups Alive 'N Kickin' and Brooklyn Dreams. In the '80s, he helped support his wife, Donna Summer, in her career.
