Songfacts®:

  • The Californian singer Dev (born Devin Tailes), told AOL Music that this song has "got a cool little sax line and a whole lot of flavor. It's really dope." It was released as a single on April 26, 2011 in the United States and in the UK on 14th August, 2011.
  • The song was produced by LA Valley electro-pop duo The Cataracs. Both acts first came to prominence with their contributions to Far East Movement's "Like a G6."
  • The song samples Pitbull's 2009 track "I Like To Move It."
  • Speaking to The Idolator, Dev said the idea was to "make a sexy song." She explained: "I'm a grown woman now. I've been working with The Cataracs for the past three years and I met them when I was kind of young and from a small town. I was like, dammit, I'm gonna make a sexy song! So that's what I did."
  • Ethan Lader, who regularly makes promos for Dev and The Cataracs, directed the music video. It was filmed in Los Angeles, California in late-April 2011, and finds the singer standing naked while being surrounded and touched by black-painted hands and arms. Some of the hands were digitally added, but the majority of them were real, including the ones touching Dev. The singer explained to The Idolator that she wanted the visual to have a dark feel, similar to Tim Burton's Alice in Wonderland: "I wanted the video to be sexy as well," she said. "I wanted it to reflect all the dark aspects of the song, and initially we went in thinking that we'd have an Alice in Wonderland/Tim Burton type of feel."
