Songfacts®:

  • This was released as the third single from teenage American rapper Diggy Simmons' debut album, Unexpected Arrival. Diggy penned the song with Miami production and songwriting team The Monsters and The Strangerz, who also penned Flo Rida's single "Turn Around (5, 4, 3, 2, 1)" and Cher Lloyd's UK #1 "Swagger Jagger." The beat was provided by Brooklyn, New York producer Dernst "D'Mile" Emile II who co-executive produced the album. The song was released on April 24, 2012.
  • This song, along with "I Need to Know," were the first two cuts that Diggy recorded for Unexpected Arrival. He told Artist Direct: "I made those at the same time, which is funny because they're completely different. Both explain how I was feeling at the time though. 'I Need to Know' touches on a lot of things I go through with people. I was going through a lot of personal things. For 'Two Up,' I was so excited that I was starting my debut album. Everyone was so excited to get into it. 'Two Up' is great life. Live life like there's no tomorrow. Do everything you can just being happy."
