  • AnonymousA child is born with a heart of gold, is so true
  • Bill from UsAnd that Wes Montgomery style guitar solo in the middle.
  • Bill from UsHow about those brass harmonies too? The big band jazz sound arrangement.
  • Markantney from Biloxi, MsHow this brilliant song doesn't have more hits on this website is beyond me?

The song is a beautiful poem to the world, not a word or verse is wasted but here's my favorite:
"A child is born with a heart of gold
The way of the world makes his heart grow cold"

I was only a kid when it came out and I only liked it because of the melody and it was EWF, but once you're grown and realize there's a lot more to your existence than "Getting Yours." The song is timeless.
  • N from Staten Island, NyForgettable movie, but a great song. Possibly EWF's finest.
