Songfacts®:

  • This plea for a lover to return her affection was co-produced by Twigs and Rick Nowels. Veteran American songwriter Rick Nowels has been penning hit tunes since the 1980s. They include Belinda Carlisle's "Heaven Is A Place On Earth" and Dido's "White Flag."
  • Twigs first aired the ballad during her July 2015 Soundtrack 7 residency at the Manchester International Festival.
  • The self-directed black-and-white video doubles as an ad for underwear brand Calvin Klein. The visual, featuring an exclusive extended version of the song, depicts a sensual and steamy encounter between Twigs and dancer and Instagram star Kaner Flex. (Twigs is also a trained dancer).

Twigs said, "I guess it's kind of tongue-in-cheek, fun, sexy but still with the emotional ignition and openness that I always aim to achieve when I direct. I wanted to make something that could feel artistically futuristic, tense, crucial, loaded, emotionally complicated but ultimately still include the seductive, free and young feel of Calvin Klein."
