Songfacts®:

  • This began life as a new song by The xx before ending up as a Jamie 'xx' Smith solo track. Smith told Mojo it was the most challenging track on In Colour as it went through a lot of different versions. "At one point it had Oliver (Sim, The xx co-vocalist) on the track and that turned it into an xx song," he said. "I went through a period while I was making it where I felt like I wasn't focusing and having too much fun. That song was hard because it tells a story of how difficult it can be for me to make a song."
