Songfacts®:

  • This is a track from Shadows, the second of four EPs, released by Jon Foreman as part of The Wonderlands project. The Switchfoot frontman explained the story behind the song to Artist Direct: "I was inspired by the ocean, and I am always intrigued by the concept of losing yourself to find yourself," he said. "It can happen in little and big ways. That song has a couple of different layers. You can hear it as a surfer and pirate anthem, 'Come with me and let's see where this can go.' There is a relationship element in the song as well. That is a great example of a couple of different things coming together."
