Songfacts®:

  • This is the lead single from Keane's fourth studio album, Strangeland. The song made its debut on American talk show Jimmy Kimmel Live on March 12, 2012. It was originally only to be released as a commercial single in the United States, but was released worldwide apart from the United Kingdom on March 13, 2012. The single was finally dropped in Keane's home country April 15, 2012.
  • Keane keyboardist Tim Rice-Oxley explained to MTV News that the song provides a good starting point to the album. "It does the job of a single pretty well in that it's a simple introduction to the themes of the album - the journey we all go on chasing our dreams, trying to navigate the bumps with a bit of grace, trying to hold on when things get really rough," he said.
  • The Christopher Sims directed music video, which was shot at a lime salt mine in Austin, Texas, depicts a couple undertaking a road trip across the US.
