Songfacts®:

  • This song is the first single released from American Hip-Hop artist Lil Wayne's 2010 EP, I'm Not a Human Being. The song features Weezy's labelmate and protégé, the Canadian rapper Drake.
  • New York's Hot 97 DJ Funkmaster Flex's show aired an interview on August 3, 2010 with the incarcerated Lil Wayne live on air. During the interview, the rapper said he recorded the music for I'm Not a Human Being, including this track, before turning himself in to serve a year-long prison sentence. However, it was competing station Power 105.1's DJ Clue that gave fans the exclusive first listen to this song around the same time.
  • Drake's verse comprises lines that he used previously in a freestyle on BBC Radio 1Xtra's Tim Westwood show.
  • The song debuted on the Hot 100 at #6, Wayne's highest chart entry as a lead artist. His previous highest start was a #13 launch for "Got Money" in June 2008.
  • The 225,000 first-week downloads were the rapper's best sales week with one of his own tracks, surpassing the 194,000 he shifted with "Lollipop" in June 2008.
