Songfacts®:

  • Corozal, Puerto Rico native Jefnier Osorio Moreno is a reggaeton and Latin trap singer who records under the name of Lunay. Moreno began recording freestyle raps at the age of 12, which he uploaded to Facebook. They came to the attention of Puerto Rican producers Chris Jeday and Gaby Music, who offered the teenager a management deal. "Soltera" is the lead single from his debut album Épico. "I titled the album Épico because what is happening in my life right now is epic, what's happening in my career is epic," he told Billboard.
  • When making this summer anthem, Lunay wanted to create something that would connect with single women. The result is an ode to females who don't want to commit themselves to a relationship. He sings in Spanish:

"Being single is in fashion. That's why she does not fall in love."
  • A remix with Puerto Rican rappers Daddy Yankee and Bad Bunny was released on May 10, 2019. The new version was one of the biggest Spanish-language hits of 2019 topping Spain's singles chart and peaking at #66 in the US.
