Songfacts®:

  • This was the first single released from R&B singer Mario's fourth studio album And Then There Was Me.
  • The song features the singer-songwriter/producer Sean Garrett and the Atlanta-raised rapper Gucci Mane. Garrett also co-wrote and helmed the track.
  • Bossip asked Mario if he considered this to be a club song or a slow song? He replied: " It's a little bit of everything on this record. That's why I love it. Sean is like a brother to me. He knows me. So, when he did this record, he was definitely thinking about me. It's a club record and every man has experienced this situation before. It's like… why would you want to break up with me when you gon' get the same thing with the next man. But, he ain't gon do it as fly as I can."
  • Mario joked to Billboard magazine that this song "was originally created for someone else, but I beat it out of Sean (Garrett) until he eventually gave it to me." He added: "A lot of this album is about letting females know that I know what it is they go through sometimes in relationships. So this song was like a conversation that I had to have with my fans."
