  • Here, Morgan Wallen sings of meeting a gorgeous girl at a party who he can't get out of his mind. He wonders why she's not with a man and concludes that whoever she last dated found some issue with her and did not put the effort that she deserved into the relationship.

Thinkin' 'bout them tan lines and I'm thinkin' damn, I'd
Love to drown in them heartbreaker blue eyes
    She's somebody's problem and somebody's problem's
    About to be mine

Whatever flaws the girl has won't be a problem for Wallen because she's so darn attractive. He will treat her far better than her previous boyfriend.
  • Wallen wrote the sweet acoustic love song with:

Texan songwriter Rodney Clawson, who has written singles recorded by Jason Aldean ("Burnin' It Down"), Luke Bryan ("Crash My Party") and Florida Georgia Line ("Dirt") among others.

Jacob Durrett, who also co-wrote Morgan Wallen's "Livin' the Dream."

Ernest Keith Smith, who also collaborated with Morgan Wallen on his hit single "More Than My Hometown" and his Diplo team-up "Heartless."
  • This song arrived at #3 on the Country chart dated December 5, 2020. Another Morgan Wallen track, "Still Goin Down," launched at #8, meaning the Tennessee native became the first artist to debut two songs in the Top 10 simultaneously on the tally.
  • By the time the COVID pandemic hit the US in March 2020, Wallen had written around 100 songs over the course of about two-and-a-half years for his Dangerous album. When quarantine started, he wrote six more tracks that he felt were worth laying down for the record.

This was the last one Wallen penned and it barely made the disc. The country star told Bobby Bones that he'd already laid down 31 songs for the set but he loved "Somebody's Problem" so much he squeezed the track in at the last minute.
  • The song originated from an amusing comment Ernest Keith Smith made while he and Wallen were driving together to a writing session. When the two artists got on the freeway, Wallen noticed the pretty girl driving in the car next to them. "I looked at her and said, 'Man, I wonder who that is,'" he recalled to American Songwriter. "Ernest looked at me and said, 'I don't know, looks like somebody's problem to me.'"

Wallen looked back at Smith and said, "Yeah, we're definitely writing that today."

The pair continued to look at the pretty girl's car and tried to take in and imagine what was going on in her life. Then they joined up with Rodney Clawson and Jacob Durrett to write the song.
