Songfacts®:

  • This house music banger is an early single from N-Joi, the British duo of Mark Franklin and Nigel Champion. It didn't chart in their home country but was huge in America, where it went to #1 on the Dance chart in 1992. The group had built a following with their debut single, "Anthem," which was first released in 1991 but was reworked and reissued in the US in 1996, giving N-Joi their second Dance music chart-topper.
  • Some of the drums are sampled from the 1988 song "Go To Work" by Kool D With Technolo-G.
  • When N-Joi went on the road in the early '90s, they brought along the singer Saffron, who sang "Anthem." During "Mindflux," she stayed on stage as a dancer, as seen in the video. Saffron later formed the band Republica, which had a huge hit with "Ready To Go."
