Songfacts®:

  • This old school banger is the first single from Immersion, the third studio album by Australian drum and bass band Pendulum.
  • Vocalist Rob Swire commented: "Please enjoy this refreshing musical beverage, bottled at source from the sparkling clear streams of Camden (and Perth, Australia). What better way to start your immersive experience?"
  • The song's music video found the band working with directors Barney Steel and Michael Sharpe. "We had two and a half weeks from winning the pitch to delivery so it was all hands on deck, full steam to finish" explained Steel to Promo News. "We shot the band along with a crowd of a hundred extras over a long day down at Three Mills studios in Bow.
The key was to create a sense of extreme power and energy, so we brought in some massive wind and rain machines and pummeled everyone with as much stuff as we could. Further particles and debris we're then added in post to create a suitably apocalyptic scene."
  • When Immersion topped the 30th May 2010 UK album chart, Pendulum became the first drum & bass act to reach #1.
