Songfacts®:

  • This song, co-written with McLachlan's longtime producer Pierre Marchand, came from the singer-songwriter's emotional turmoil after separating from her husband Ashwin Sood. The couple had been married for eleven years and Sood has played drums in her band since 1991. McLachlan told Billboard magazine that this track is, "pretty self-explanatory, basically just a plea to give it another chance and keep trying."
  • This was one of two new songs on McLachlan's 2008 greatest hits package, the other one, " U Want Me 2" was also about her separation from Sood.
