Songfacts®:

  • Skillet frontman John Cooper told Listenin.org the meaning behind this Christian alt-rock tune and how it was partly inspired by a Schwarzenegger flick: "'Earth Invasion,' it's one of the most, I guess you would say theological songs on our record. The idea was that the earth is under constant invasion with the Kingdom of God - it's like a colliding that's happening, so when that comes personally into your life... it says, 'Where will you run? Come with us if you wanna live' which, insignificantly, I got from Terminator 2."
  • This is the only Alien Youth track to feature Ben Kasica, who replaced Kevin Haaland as guitarist late in the album's recording process.
