Songfacts®:

  • This is a single released from Teargarden by Kaleidyscope, a 44-song concept album released for free over the Internet by Smashing Pumpkins, one song at a time. This track is from the second EP, The Solstice Bare, which is part of the song collection's physical release.
  • The song was first played live on July 24, 2009 at the first Spirits in the Sky show in memoriam of American rock and roll musician Sky Saxon, who was best known as the leader and singer of the 1960s Los Angeles psychedelic garage rock band The Seeds.
  • Frontman Billy Corgan explained to Artist Direct why he was releasing the songs for free: "I want no limitations on what I can and will do. I think the size and shape of the traditional album is just morphing into something much more in the moment. Four songs at a time will mean I can give my heart over to the music fully without giving away my now happy life."
