Songfacts®:

  • The lead single from III, this was the first song released by Take That since they became a three-piece, following the departure of Jason Orange.
  • The single was written by the three remaining members with Mark Own's longtime friends and collaborators, Ben Mark and Jamie Norton. It was produced by Greg Kurstin (Katy Perry, Pink) and described in the press release as an "out-and-out feelgood pop" song, which also gives "a nod to the sound that defined their early years."
  • Take That's self-titled long player garnered enough interest to become Amazon.co.uk's most pre-ordered album of all time. The record overtook Pink Floyd's 2014 set, The Endless River, to claim the title.
  • The song was Take That's twelfth #1 of their career and their first since "Greatest Day" in 2008.
