Songfacts®:

  • Lemonheads frontman Evan Dando wrote this joyful song about Alison Galloway, who was the drummer in the Australian band Smudge and also the girlfriend of Nic Dalton, who had recently joined the Lemonheads as bass player. Dando explained to Melody Maker: "She'd taken Ecstasy and she had started to come onto the drug and she was like, 'Whoah!' And I was thinking, 'Whoah! Alison's starting to happen.' So I turned it into a sort of love song."
