  • Here, Tori Amos sings about her mother, Mary, who was left unable to communicate after a stroke. After speaking out on so many songs about feminist, political and environmental topics, now the songstress simply wants to save her own voice. Amos explained to Billboard that as a result of her stricken mother, she started valuing "what having a voice means and that we don't even realize sometimes how powerful speech can be and how words can be so misused."
