Songfacts®:

  • This uptempo rocker is a love story with a difference as we hear Tyler Farr singing about the titular poor rural boy landing the girl of his dreams. Farr penned the tune with Dallas Davidson and Ben Hayslip of the songwriting team known as The Peach Pickers.
  • Tyler Farr has had success both as a recording artist and as a songwriter for both other country singers (Colt Ford's "Hey Y'all," Joe Nichols' "She's Just Like That"). He explained to The Boot why he decided to record this tune himself. "It was just one of my favorite songs - just a country song, and I just put my foot down on that one," said Farr. "I really wanted that one to be on there just because of the fact that it was different; it had that rural, poor boy coming from nothing and getting the girl at the end of the day... Yeah, that one was just one that I had to put on there. It's probably my favorite song that I wrote this year."
