  • Though the band was aware of the history behind their name (a historical London district where Jack the Ripper did many of his killings), that wasn't a huge factor in their namepicking process. Speaking with Hails and Horns, Alex Wade explained that they agreed on the name because it was ominous, to the point, and had a nice ring to it.
  • En route to crossing the English Channel during a 2009 European tour, the band discovered a family of gypsies hiding in their bus trailer, trying to sneak into England.
  • In the Songfacts interview with Ben Savage, he explained how experimentation plays a big part in their songwriting. Said Savage: "It's got to have a continuous flow, an emotion, a musical emotion. And usually I don't like to have a formula, like a verse/chorus/verse/chorus. If the riffs work together, the riffs work together. You can't have the same thing repeat and have it sound like you're doing anything interesting, but it's all just experimenting. I don't like to have any hard-and-fast rules for songs."
  • The band members are huge fans of the lauded West-Coast-only In-n-Out burgers.
  • Listing their biggest and most formative influences, band members have cited Cannibal Corpse, Pantera, Metallica, and Slipknot.
  • While not making music, Phil Bozeman says that "pretty much all I do is play video games." He listed Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 and Diablo III as favorites.
