Songfacts®:

  • This story of heartbreak and deception is the first single from Zac Brown Band's second EP, The Grohl Sessions, Vol. 1. Foo Fighters frontman Dave Grohl both produced and played drums on the record.
  • Zac Brown had only praises for both Dave Grohl and the recording process. "We have a lot of freedom now that we didn't have before. We can record this amazing music and within two weeks, three weeks put it out to the people," Brown said in a behind-the-scenes video. "We just opened up to Dave and said, 'What do you think about this?' He said, 'Were going to track it to tape, we're not going to use any computers.' I just felt in my gut that it was the thing to do. I felt like everything I've ever seen him do was great."
  • Grohl told Rolling Stone about his work with the Zac Brown Band, saying: "The band is so good they can be tracked live; we didn't f--k with computers, we tracked live, four-part harmonies around one microphone. It's rocking. People are like, 'Oh, it's country.' 'No, it's not, it's like the Allman Brothers.' 'No, it's not, it's jam band.' I don't even know what you would call it, it's f---ing great."
