  • When I wake up in the morning light
I pull on my jeans and I feel all right
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on (Ch-ch)
I pull my blue jeans on, I pull my old blue jeans on (Ch-ch)

It's the weekend, and I know that you're free
So pull on your jeans and come on out with me
I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me (Ch-ch)
I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me

You and me, we'll go motorbike riding in the sun and the wind and the rain
I got money in my pocket, got a tiger in my tank
And I'm king of the road again

I'll meet ya in the usual place
I don't need a thing, except your pretty face
And I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me (Ch-ch)
I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me (Ch-ch)
I need to have you near me, I need to feel you close to me (Ch-ch)

  • George Pope from Vancouver BcHoly crumbs! To get paid $5.00USD (3.50GBP) every time a station plays their signature note -- not too shabby asource of residual/passive income! Nice & Jeans On is a nice tune itself, & worthy of royalties. I was hjoping to ge some background on the song ratheer than only the artist. Who is the girl (or guy?) he's quickly getting dressed up(sorta) for, & ready to rush out the door. The artist may be "classy" but the character singing isn't going beyond simple jeans to rush out to meet his someone. But n the 1970s, the trend of dressing up to go out of the housewas already long gone, ruined by American corporate push for quick & easy.
  • Lz from BurghMisheard lyric "Got Money in my pocket, got a tiger in my pants...".

O don't recall this song hardly at all back in the 1970s. I just heard it more a few years ago on online radio, then of course, on that jeans commercial. It's catchy in the same way "Ariel" is. That Dean Friedman gem.
  • Jojo Dancer from At Large I thought this song was a jingle for a Jean's store in pnw called the squire shop Jean's store.
  • Barry from Sauquoit, NyOn this day in 1977 {February 4th} David Dundas performed "Jeans On" on the NBC-TV late-night musical variety program, 'The Midnight Special'...
At the time "Jeans On" was in it's second of two weeks at #17 on Billboard's Top 100 chart, that would also be it's peak position on the chart and it spent a total of twenty one weeks on Top 100...
And on August 7th, 1976 it peaked at #3* {for three weeks} on the United Kingdom's Official Top 50 Singles chart...
David Paul Nicholas Dundas will celebrate his 75th birthday in four months on June 2nd, 2020...
    * And from the 'For What It's Worth' department, the three weeks that "Jeans On" was at #3 in the UK, the #2 record for those three weeks was "A Little Bit More" by Dr. Hook and at #1 for those three weeks was "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" by Elton John & Kiki Dee...
