  • If you're leaving, close the door
    I'm not expecting people, anymore
Hear me grieving, lying on the floor
Whether I'm drunk or dead, I really ain't too sure

    I'm a blind man
    I'm a blind man
    And my world is pale
    When a blind man cries
    Lord, you know
    There ain't a sadder tale

Had a friend once, in a room
Had a good time, but it ended much too soon
In a cold month, in that room
Found a reason, for the things we had to do

    I'm a blind man
    I'm a blind man
    Now my room is cold
    When a blind man cries
    Lord, you know
He feels it from his soul Writer/s: Ian Gillan, Ian Paice, Jon Lord, Ritchie Blackmore, Roger Glover

  • Campbell Gentle from AustraliaThis is a really good song, until I listened to it, I didn't realise there was rock that was played SOFTLY.
  • Louise from Atlanta, GaThis song brings me to tears because of a special memory, same line as Andy from Wales...and I cannot believe Blackmore doesn't like it as the original guitar is STILL my favorite, but Gillan live somewhere around 1990...is my favorite singing version! Maybe Blackmore has a memory that males it too painful to play the song.
  • Ani from Yerevan, ArmeniaThis track is my favorite from "Machine Head". I'm surprised Blackmore doesn't like this. :(
  • Andy from Wales, United KingdomSpecial memories for me as I 'had a friend once,in a room, had a good time but it ended much too soon'

Great slow song from one of the best band son the planet!
