  • Last dance
    Last chance, for love
Yes, it's my last chance, for romance, tonight

    I need you, by me
    Beside me, to guide me
To hold me, to scold me
    'Cause when I'm bad
    I'm so, so bad

So let's dance, the last dance
    Let's dance, the last dance
Let's dance, this last dance tonight

Last dance, last chance for love
    Yes it's my last chance
    For romance tonight

Oh, I need you, by me
    Beside me, to guide
To hold me, to scold me
    'Cause when I'm bad
    I'm so, so bad

So let's dance, the last dance
    Let's dance, the last dance
Let's dance, this last dance tonight

Will you be my Mr. Right?
    Can you fill my appetite
I can't be sure that you're the one for me
But all that I ask is that you dance with me
Dance with me, Dance with me, yeah

Oh I need you, by me
    Beside me, to guide me
To hold me, to scold me
    'Cause when I'm bad
    I'm so, so bad

So let's dance, this last dance
    Let's dance, this last dance
    Let's dance, this last dance
Let's dance, this last dance tonight

Oh I need you, by me
    Beside me, to guide me
To hold me, to scold me
    'Cause when I'm bad
    I'm so, so horny

So, come on baby, dance that dance
Come on baby, dance that dance
Come on baby, let's dance tonight Writer/s: Paul F. Jabara

  • Carmelo from Genova, ItalyI don't think you can be so sure she says "horny" in that much talked about bit of the lyrics as the sound is not that clear in there so it could be anything.
I'd rather say it's something like "...cause when I'm bad I'm so so HOPELESS...". What about? - @rchie, Italy
  • Camille from Toronto, Oh5/17/12~RIP Donna Summer~this is probably her best loved tune. It has a rockin' rhythm and Donna belts out the words in a way that command you to listen to them. The opening notes sound like the disco ball starting to glitter on the dance floor, signaling the night is just about over. It starts out slow then ramps up to a very satisfying crescendo. Very well done.
  • Steve Dotstar from Los Angeles, Calove the 16th notes in the violins on this song....
  • John from Nashville, TnDonna Summer won her first of five Grammies with this song in the category of best r&b vocal performance by a female singer. She was up against Natalie Cole ("Our Love"), Chaka Khan ("I'm Every Woman"), Aretha Franklin ("Almighty Fire") and Alicia Bridges ("I Love The Nightlife").
  • Brian from Mentor, OhIs it just me, or does she say "When I'm bad, I'm so, so horny" on the last verse? She says "When I'm bad, I'm so, so bad" on the rest of the verses. The version I'm referring to is on the Greatest Hits.
