  • I don't care if Monday's blue
    Tuesday's gray and Wednesday too
Thursday I don't care about you
    It's Friday I'm in love
    Monday you can fall apart
    Tuesday Wednesday break my heart
    Thursday doesn't even start
    It's Friday I'm in love

    Saturday wait
And Sunday always comes too late
    But Friday never hesitate

    I don't care if Monday's black
    Tuesday Wednesday heart attack
    Thursday never looking back
    It's Friday I'm in love

Monday you can hold your head
    Tuesday Wednesday stay in bed
Or Thursday watch the walls instead
    It's Friday I'm in love

    Saturday wait
And Sunday always comes too late
    But Friday never hesitate

    Dressed up to the eyes
    It's a wonderful surprise
To see your shoes and your spirits rise
    Throwing out your frown
And just smiling at the sound
And as sleek as a shriek
    Spinning round and round
    Always take a big bite
    It's such a gorgeous sight
To see you eat in the middle of the night
    You can never get enough
    Enough of this stuff
    It's Friday

  • Donald Andrew from Oregon@3:34 there is what sounds like a fart into the mic.
  • Turk Sties from Richmond, Va, UsaThe Russian band Вельвет recorded a cover of this song in English. I think it was part of a film’s sound track. Velvet’s Russian language rock songs are excellent and the lady, Katya Belokon, writes the words and music, sings the songs, and is also a musician. Early songs like Seller of Dolls and Captain of the Artic are great and we’re hugely popular.
  • Camille from Toronto, OhI agree with Caroline of Cincinnati, this song IS fantastic and radio stations should play it more frequently. I always thought the singer was gay, and that the song was about gay love. Oh well, whatever or whoever it's about, it is a fun, funny tune. Surprisingly, I will occasionally hear it playing on a music system in the grocery story or other public places. Should have been more popular than it was.
  • Caroline from Cincinnati, OhWhy aren't there more comments for this song? it is fantastic!
  • Squigle from Columbus, OhThis song (the acoustic version) was one of the first Cure songs I ever really loved. My dad is really into the Cure, so I heard a LOT of their music!
  • Anthony from Morton, Pafor all of you who dont know Robert uses a Saturn 63 origionaly made by Hopf nut his is Eastwoods.
  • Andy from Lake City, Flthese lyrics don't need much analysis. the music, however is a shameless ripoff of the 1986 songs "tristess" and "disenchanted" by the excellent austrailian band the church. oh well, imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
